PTO Asks You to SOS (Save Our Subscriptions)
 
Please save your magazine subscription renewals until our annual magazine drive September 10 through September 24. Profits from the sale go to the technology fund for LJS. Details will come home on September 10, 2010. Orders may be placed before and during our sale for student credit via credit card at http://www.midwestfundraising.com. Visit the Magazine Store and enter school code WB3045 and indicate your selections. Thank you.
 
 
 
PTO ACTIVITIES AT LJS
Voluntary Student Support Teacher Support Monetary Support Parental Support
Assist at open house with student schedules and fee collection.
Copying for teachers.
Finding volunteers on an as-needed basis.
Chaperone dances.
Chaperone 8th grade day and dance.
Representatives to District Parent Council.

Sponsor dances.
Sponsor 8th grade day.
Contributions to awards and incentives (A's to Win, homework ice cream incentive, pizza parties) by soliciting donations and contributions as well as providing volunteers.
After school programs.

 

Dinners.
Funds for classroom "special-use" materials.
Xeroxing teacher materials.

 

 

 

Sponsor magazine sale--proceeds sponsor events, donations to teacher-class
use, and donations to technology.

 

 

Means of positive communication between the school and parents. Informational forum for involved parents along with special speakers on matters important to
parents and the Lakota schools.
