Lakota Enrollment Center - Coming Soon!
August 2, 2010 will be the opening day for Lakota’s Enrollment Center. All new families joining the Lakota family will register at the Enrollment Center located at 8735 Cincinnati-Dayton Road next to Union Day School. Through the reallocation of already budgeted dollars from the general fund, this centralized location will be able to provide for enrollment and student data services at no additional cost to the district. This will be a time saver particularly for families with more than one student enrolling at different school levels. The Enrollment Center will be a welcoming environment with a very personable staff to assist families with all their enrollment needs. The Enrollment Center will allow the registering process to be streamlined to get parents in and out quickly. There will also be an English as a Second Language staff member to assist our Limited English families in testing to ensure correct placement. The Lakota Enrollment Center personnel will also answer questions, and deal with issues surrounding custody affidavits, residency affidavits, change of address and home schooling. This office will also take care of updating enrollment policies, procedures and forms. The District will benefit from cleaner data, clearer communication and a streamlined enrollment process. K- 12 registration will take place at the Enrollment Center. A plan of communication will go out to the schools as soon as staffing issues have been resolved.
